Karoliina Partanen is the innovative and dynamic leader of the AI Finland network. Her mission is to position Finland at the forefront of global artificial intelligence development by accelerating the adoption and advancement of AI within Finnish organizations. She has previously held roles at Nokia, various management consulting firms, and at Sulava, a leading AI transformation consulting company.
Lassi Kurkijärvi serves as the Chief Technology Officer and a leading expert in Nordic business technology at Sofigate, a consulting firm specializing in business technology across the Nordics. Lassi focuses on helping European publicly traded companies and public sector organizations harness the power of artificial intelligence and implement intelligent business models. With decades of experience in the technology sector, he excels at challenging outdated paradigms.
Maria Ritola is a Finnish entrepreneur and award-winning technology influencer, as well as the founder of Iris.ai, which develops AI-based applications for researchers. Previously, Maria led the climate change team at Demos Helsinki. She holds a degree in economics and specializes in future studies from Singularity University in Silicon Valley. Maria is a regular speaker on Yle Aamu’s Jälkidigi program.
Tuomas Syrjänen is the founder and owner of Futurice, a Finnish technology company. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer overseeing artificial intelligence and its development. Known for his expertise in digitalization, artificial intelligence, and innovation management, Tuomas has led Futurice to become an internationally recognized company that effectively integrates technology with business transformation.
Anna Lahtinen is a senior researcher at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. She possesses specialized knowledge of the transformative impacts of artificial intelligence in the workplace, business, and career paths. Anna has been instrumental in facilitating the adoption of AI in various companies. Her leadership in research, development, and innovation projects has supported over 150 companies and organizations in leveraging AI technologies and enhancing their capabilities.
The “AI in Finland” webinar is part of the project “AI-Powered SMEs: Driving Change in AI Utilization for SMEs and Their Employees,” funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund.
The project is supported by several prominent partners, including Business Helsinki, Central Uusimaa Development Company (KEUKE), the West Uusimaa Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, Healthtech Finland, and Business Mentors Finland. Other partners include the Turku Chamber of Commerce, East Uusimaa Development Company (Posintra), and Kotka-Hamina Region Development Company (Cursor).
