Artificial intelligence is accelerating the development and sustainability of tourism. Read how FAIR’s client company Dandelier AI leverages AI to promote responsible travel.

As tourism continues its global expansion, so too does the demand for sustainable solutions and providers who can deliver them. Finland and the Nordic countries particularly attract visitors seeking tranquillity, safety, and proximity to nature. But how do responsible services and conscious travellers actually find each other?
Enter Dandelier AI, a FAIR client company that has developed an AI-powered tool for the tourism industry to automate quotations and content creation. Founded in 2025, this startup provides solutions specifically designed for small tourism businesses, automating everything from price quotes and travel itineraries to sales and marketing content.
The platform creates interactive travel programmes where each day’s events, hotels, restaurants, or activities are displayed in clear, visual formats. This gives customers a complete overview of their trip at a glance, with additional details such as schedules, locations, and links readily accessible.
Dandelier AI’s development has been supported not only by FAIR but also by Metropolia’s proof-of-concept programme, Haaga-Helia’s EuroEmotur funding, and technology partner Artific AI. Meanwhile, Microsoft for Startup Founders Hub provided the secure and flexible development environment, offering cloud-based tools and resources that help businesses develop and scale.
One of the biggest challenges in the tourism industry has been the labor-intensive process of creating travel offers and itineraries. Dandelier AI set out to solve this problem by leveraging advanced AI technologies – including chatbot functionalities, automated data collection, intelligent file management systems, and cloud services.
With the support of the FAIR, Dandelier AI developed an innovative solution centered around an AI-assisted chatbot with two modes: free-form conversation and structured offer generation.
The advanced system integrates the OpenAI API and the Qdrant vector database, enabling the generation of personalized travel offers in real time based on customer queries. The proof-of-concept clearly demonstrates that a fully automated, scalable SaaS solution is an achievable goal.
Hanna Kallioniemi, founder and CEO of Dandelier AI, admits that without FAIR’s expert guidance she would not have known where to start. Kallioniemi developed the entire concept together with FAIR.
